Sea Creature Charting

Well well. I missed a few a day this week.
Sorry about that.
I forgot what a busy week we had planned.
My daughter had two projects for 4H judging this week.
Which meant that I she had a lot of prep work to cram in do each night before judging.
The hubs also celebrated his birthday yesterday.
And I have a stupid cold.
I swear this past year I have gotten sick more than I have in my entire life.
What the who is going on?
Time to load up on some vitamins.

Anyway, now that I am done making excuses  I thought I would go ahead and release this little nugget of loveliness.

I have seen and heard of charting before.
I hope I am calling it the right thing.
Wait...is it actually called graphing?
Poo, I literally just thought of that when I typed this.
Nice now that I have all the files prepared.
Okay, pretend like they all say graphing.

Take a look and let me know what you think.
I haven't even tried this activity yet with the kiddos.
Just throwing it to the wolves here.
Is there a better way to do this?
I'd appreciate any and all feed back!

I have provided two pages of bathing suit beauties with different colored suits.
You can have your kiddo match up the bucket of the same color.
This would be a great activity to make into a file folder game!

Beach Themed Trace the Letters/Numbers Cards

Howdy!
Yeah, it's Monday.

Today I have my trace the letters and numbers cards.
They are of course beach themed!
I have provided both standard print and D'Nealian.

You can use these two ways.
Print them and keep them as is.
Laminate them in you wish so you can use them multiple times.
You can also cut them out and use them as individual cards.
I use them both ways.
The individual cards are great for travel.
We sometimes use them at restaurants when we need to keep the kiddos busy.
You know instead of letting them yell or use the potty 14 times while we are waiting for our food.
Not that they ever do that :)

Large Beach Puzzle

Happy Wednesday.
Another blogger fail. This was suppose to post automatically yesterday.
Seeing as how it's Thursday, obviously I failed at something.
Sorry!
Just a little puzzle to showcase some fun at the beach.
I provided a faint dotted line for cutting out.
If your kiddos struggle with puzzles, you could print out two copies.
Only cut the pieces for one of the copies.
Have your kiddo match up the cutout pieces with the other print out.

My kids love puzzles.
That's why I always include them.

Happy Wednesday!

ABC Surfboard Puzzles

I love any activity that helps the kiddos match upper and lower case letters.
So here we have a set of Surfboard Puzzles with upper and lower case letters.
You can cut the boards in half and have your child match them back up.
Because I love to laminate...of course I laminated these for longevity.

I meant to post three times last week, but became side tracked.
I am back on schedule this week.
Hope everyone is enjoying the insane heat!

Surfboard Lace Cards

Surfboard Lace Cards are perfect for hand eye coordination practice.
Cut out the boards and laminate.
Punch random holes anywhere on the picture.
We use a child's plastic needle threaded with yarn for all our lacing projects.

Sandcastle Postcard Counting

Happy Tuesday!
I have put together 10 Sandcastle Postcards.
Each post card features a different number of flags.
Have your kiddo count the flags and place the number stamp on the postcard.

So far this summer my family has been to 4 beaches.
We are sort of beach bums.
We try to visit a different one each weekend.
Luckily they are all local, so we don't have to send postcards!

Enjoy!

Shovel Size Sort

Ready to sort some shovels?
Sweet!
Cut out each shovel and have your kiddo arrange them in order from smallest to biggest, biggest to smallest, whatever you want.
Sometimes I like to grab two random shovels and ask my kiddos which one is bigger or smaller.
I even asked them which they thought could hold more sand.
Just different ways to make them use their little brains.

More activities on schedule for next week!
Have a great weekend!

Fun At The Beach Patterns

I think this is the first time I have actually done a pattern exercise?
Is it?
I'm not sure.

Anyway, that's what we have here.
Beach themed patterns.
The first three squares are already filled out.
I provided enough pieces to finish each row.
There are three rows total.

I am starting off my Fun At The Beach Unit with a set of Flashcards.
Laminate them, cut them out and have your kiddo call out the word that matches the picture.

I hope everyone loves this unit as much as I do.
The graphics are adorable and so much fun.
Let me know in the comments what you think!

Howdy Friends.
My Fun at the Beach Unit will be starting next week.

I thought I would take today and introduce my new graphics.

They are from Kirsten at Digital Doodles!

Here is what the owner has to say about her Etsy shop:
Digital doodles is filled with digital clip art, stamps and patterns from my daily art journal. Lovely white paper, juicy black pens, my computer and a cup of coffee
She has been gracious enough to allow me to use her graphics in my FREE printables.
